📣 OpenAI o3-mini & DeepSeek-R1 now in Hunch, expanding our AI-first workspace with two powerful new reasoning models! Reasoning models improve output accuracy and reduce hallucinations by spending extra time thinking. By separating tasks into steps, these models think through and confirm answers at various steps before producing the final output. This makes them particularly effective at STEM and coding tasks. The recent class of purpose-built reasoning models, like OpenAI o1 and o1-mini, have proven to perform incredibly well for complex tasks. In fact, we've found them to be excellent at generating outputs requiring multiple steps, including ones that pull insights from data. We're excited to announce that Hunch now supports two powerful new reasoning models. ✅ OpenAI o3-mini: Exceptional STEM reasoning in math, science, and coding tasks with significantly lower latency ✅ DeepSeek-R1: An open-source model matching the performance of leading models at competitive pricing, hosted on Together AI & Fireworks AI 🚀 What this means for you: * Lower-cost, higher-confidence outputs * Experiment with state-of-the-art reasoning capabilities across multiple models * Speed up productivity on your most challenging tasks Whether you're coding, analyzing data, or solving complex problems, you now have more choices to prototype any AI functionality for your tasks. Quickly iterate across multiple models and test prompts in order to validate the right results. 💥 Bonus: Gemini 2.0 Flash now also available in Hunch - for improved speed, better multimodal generation, and a 1M token context window. Already have access to Hunch? Just select o3-mini, DeepSeek-R1, or any model you prefer, in an AI Task block. Or use Auto AI to automatically select the best model for your task. 👉 Try them at https://app.hunch.tools #AI #Productivity #FutureOfWork #OpenAI #DeepSeek

For many of us, our LinkedIn posts tell our unique stories: new jobs, lessons learned, personal experiences, and many other milestones. Using a development version of our upcoming product, Coauthor, we wanted to make it easy to create a special year-end post that captures your 2024 highlights *and* give it the personalized touch of your distinct voice. We were partially inspired by Spotify Wrapped, but after the 20 design iterations it took to convince ourselves it was a good idea, LinkedIn Rewind became its own thing: a celebration of your year that more than 300,000 of you were delighted to read and share. And we were equally delighted to read your emails, DMs, comments, and posts about it. Here are some of our favorites: “It helped change my perspective on everything I had accomplished this year so I’m thankful!” – Maverick "People who intimately know me probably couldn't have done that better. What an extremely impressive tool. I still can't believe how accurate my writing style and voice was 🤯🤯🤯" – Natasha “This tone of voice is super spot on! Have been trying all types of AIs and agents to get no close to this.” – Diego We shared the first Rewind URL just 4 days (!) after starting work on the project so there were plenty of rough edges, but I’m super proud of how the team moved so fast to launch and then scale the service. And thank you for your patience if you were one of the folks who waited hours to receive your Rewind! 2024 may be over, but LinkedIn Rewind is the start of something new… We believe that professionals and creators everywhere will use AI to amplify their real insights, unique perspectives, and authentic voices. We’re building Coauthor to help them do so. And we’re thrilled that 80,000 of you have now signed up for the Coauthor waitlist at https://coauthor.studio! We’re working really hard on it and we can’t wait to share more soon.

So I teased what was coming with a reference to Spotify Unwrapped. The amazing team at https://hunch.tools/ has built a mini tool to create your own LinkedIn version. Rather then pasting in the wonderful year-in post text verbatim -- I decided to just include the 3 posts it thought were good for a wrap. The most fun part for me is the little baseball card. LLMs are weirdly interested in my Navy experience.... Try it out and see what you think. No pressure to cut and paste the text -- mash it up -- do whatever, make it yours. But do share your little baseball card so we can compare notes. "Experience is learning which rules you can break. And in fact, true experts don't stop searching for rules they can break." What pottery taught me about expertise that no business book could. https://lnkd.in/guyxJRBe "Too many times in our adult lives we look at rules, procedures, processes, case studies, etc. But how often do we seek to understand the spirit of a problem?" Early lessons from creative problem-solving still shape how I approach innovation. https://lnkd.in/gxqz7FmP "Many organizations seem to be misdirecting their focus when it comes to AI... The one certainty? The way information is processed will never be the same." Why AI readiness starts with rethinking how we handle information. https://lnkd.in/gCnjnn36

"In AI, guardrails are better today than ever. A year ago, results were twice as long, half as useful." A year ago, AI models gave us answers twice as long as what I needed—and half as useful. Fast forward to today: those same models now delivers concise, targeted responses that actually solve problems. In this episode of Leveraging AI, we sit down with David Wilson, the CEO of Hunch, to explore the evolving world of large language models and AI tools. David shares how Hunch empowers users to connect and leverage multiple AI models seamlessly, offering unmatched flexibility and performance. Here’s what changed: → Improved guardrails that refine outputs. → Better training data that aligns with real-world needs. → Providers listening to users and evolving fast. AI isn’t just about power—it’s about precision. And precision is impossible without improvement in the system’s “guardrails.” If you’re looking to understand how to test, compare, and combine AI tools effectively, this episode is packed with insights you won’t want to miss.

My first experiment with AI automation turned our 5-hour podcast production workflow into a 5-minute task. No exaggeration. Here's what happened: Every week at Supra, we spend hours on podcast production: ↳ Writing show notes ↳ Creating social posts ↳ Brainstorming title ideas ↳ Repurposing content So I decided to experiment with AI automation. The results?  A 5-hour task now takes 5 minutes. 🤯 Quick math on the long-term impact of this: ↳ 4.9 hours saved per week ↳ 19.6 hours saved per month ↳ 235.2 hours per year = 29.4 working days recovered The best part? This was just my first experiment with automation. Kudos to Hunch for building a dope tool 🙏

👉 Unless you're an AI power user, you're probably using primarily one AI model like GPT (new "pro mode" yesterday!) or Claude. Maybe you're not sure whether to try other models or even how to get started. You could: 1) run thousands of your own prompts and compare the outputs, or 2) check out our neat little cheatsheet below. 📋 📈 We see trends across thousands of AI tasks every day from our community. We're also constantly testing AI models in different use cases. With so many models to choose from, the classic tradeoffs between speed, quality and cost need to be considered. 🎯 The best approach is to try different models, even using multiple in parallel and synthesizing their outputs. Results also depend on iterative runs, prompting techniques, and how tasks are broken down into a workflow of subtasks. 🔖 Note: Models included were based purely on usage behavior from the Hunch community. Those not included may also perform well for certain use cases.
