Big challenges require big solutions! The new Ace Hardware Corporation retail supply center at KCI 29 Logistics Park is 1.5 million square feet and a half mile long, so Clayco had to think outside the box – and above it – to install the facility's rooftop HVAC units. This impressive aerial assist by Midwest Helicopter Airways meant we were able to fly all 27 units into place in a single Saturday, saving our team loads of time and energy and very sore back muscles. Many thanks to Clayco for arranging the heavy lifting and to the Kansas City Aviation Department for their work to help us fly quickly and safely during KCI's busy schedule!

Our teams are putting in a ton of very hard, hot work ahead of this Labor Day weekend so we can kick back at the finished pool at The Hudson next Labor Day weekend! 😎 🌞
Courtyard progress at The Hudson. Pool waterproofing, EIFS installation has started on the southeast corner, the pool Geo foam has been flown into the courtyard and the unit decks and air barrier work continues. The race is on to get all lift and crane work completed before the tower crane leaves in a few weeks.

Hunt Midwest Senior Vice President Mike Bell shared his analysis of the Kansas City real estate market last week at REjournals' third annual Kansas City Industrial Summit. Our strategic location in the heart of America puts 90% of the contiguous U.S. within a two-day reach and, with inflation putting more pressure on the bottom line, companies are investing in markets like Kansas City where their expansion dollars are most effective at reaching their customer base. Thanks to REjournals and the other panelists for their deep dive into all the success and growing opportunity for Kansas City's industrial sector!

Congratulations to our own Vince Johnston for being named a 2024 CFO of the Year by the Kansas City Business Journal! "Vince is crazy smart – with decades of experience and a strong intuition, he has the unique ability to oversee the financial and legal details that go into running a successful, multi-faceted real estate development firm while always staying focused on the bigger strategic picture," Hunt Midwest President & CEO Ora Reynolds said. "He can calculate numbers in his head that most people need an entire spreadsheet and hours of work to complete! The only thing sharper and faster is his quick-witted, dry sense of humor."
