Our Breast & Gynecologic Research Advocate Committee is all about connecting patients and researchers to shape the future of cancer care. By sharing their experiences, advocates help keep research patient-focused, leading to more personalized and hopeful approaches to treatment. Rebecca Cressman, one of our incredible advocates, says it best: “It’s empowering to engage with the researchers who are behind the scenes but whose work is crucial to help us survive and thrive. I dream of a world where every cancer diagnosis comes with hope because scientists, clinicians, and patients worked together on treatments that truly make a difference.” This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re grateful for the dedication and innovation of our researchers, and the powerful voices of our advocates. Together, they’re building a future full of hope. Learn more about our Breast & Gynecologic Research Advocate Committee: https://bit.ly/46Ipg3j

Celebrating our amazing Investigational Drug Services (IDS) pharmacy technicians on Pharmacy Technician Day! These dedicated professionals work tirelessly behind the scenes to secure life-saving clinical trial medications and coordinate patient care. The IDS technicians hold a high level of responsibility, and their hard work is often a make-or-break element of starting a new clinical trial quickly. One of our IDS technicians, Whitney Crosgrove, describes her experience, “What is great about this role is how motivated we all feel to go above-and-beyond for patients. They sacrifice so much time and emotional effort to participate in clinical trials that will hopefully benefit patients down the line. How could anyone see their sacrifice and not want to make every workday count to support them?” Join us in thanking our IDS techs for all they do!

"We need to make sure we're showing up consistently. When you think about a friend, or a good friend, or sibling, your sister, your brother, right? How do you want them to show up for you? How do you want to show up for them? These things are so central to American Indian, Alaskan Native communities. It's how are you showing up for community? It's how are you showing up for your friends, your siblings, your parents? You know, are you a good relative? So delivering a cancer-free frontier means Huntsman has to be a good relative in all aspects." Join Phyllis Nassi and Nathan Begaye from our American Indian Program on our podcast as they discuss the historic cancer care gap impacting American Indians and Alaskan Natives in the Mountain West. Learn about the efforts underway to bridge this gap and the meaningful work they’re doing within these communities to improve access to care. huntsmancancer.org/podcast

Our Breast & Gynecologic Research Advocate Committee bridges the gap between researchers and patients, allowing our patients to play a crucial role in guiding life-changing cancer research. Shari, one of our patient advocates, recently shared: "What I value most in working with the researchers is the hope I feel each time I am exposed to the ground-breaking research they are doing. I love to be able to share with other cancer patients and anyone who will listen about the boundaries these researchers are breaking as they strive to find answers to perplexing cancer questions." We are so grateful to our researchers for not only their dedication and innovation but also for their commitment to sharing their work in a way that empowers our patients. By including the patient perspective, they are shaping a future where cancer care is more personalized, effective, and hopeful. https://bit.ly/46Ipg3j
