  • Three years ago today, our journey began! There are some key people that deserve some special recognition today. Tad Johnston, PMP, my incredibly supportive husband, was the one who convinced me to start Hire Up Recruiting (HUR) because he saw something in me that I didn't even see in myself at the time. He became our IT department and worked nights and weekends to get the infrastructure of HUR built. I will never forget the feeling of securing my first client within a week of starting up and having him by my side to experience it with me. It was surreal. My favorite thing about Tad is his ability to remain calm in all situations. JJ Galaway joined HUR just a couple weeks after we got it off the ground and is one of the most loyal and hardest working people I have ever met. The first year of any startup is interesting, to say the least, and she never wavered. Now, here we are 3-years later and she has always been HUR's biggest cheerleader. I feel incredibly lucky to have her by my side as we head into our fourth year as a company. My favorite thing about JJ is her genuine passion for what we do. Corrine Robey joined HUR just a month after it was born and was INSTRUMENTAL in developing and executing our sourcing strategy. Those early days, when we were building the plane as we were flying it, were not easy but she stuck with us and continues to support HUR today! My favorite thing about Corrine is that she's not afraid to speak up when something doesn't make sense or could be done better. Jessica Bowman and Haley Roddy, ECRE are both incredible team players and are always ready to jump in to help us on our busiest days. They're eager to learn new skills and continue growing in their roles at HUR. Having a bench I can count on provides me with great peace of mind. I know they'll always come through and do whatever it takes to get the job done and they have never let me down. Some of our other team members aren't on LinkedIn for me to tag, but their contributions to our organization are immeasurable. Leading this team of incredibly smart and talented people is the highlight of my career. If the past 3-years are any indication of what's to come, it's going to be incredible and I'm here for it. Thank you, Team, for making HUR what it's become and for loving it as much as I do.

  • We love referrals because it means that what we do adds enough value to the schools we support that they feel motivated to tell a friend who is also struggling with staffing! This school in East Windsor, NJ is looking for a strong Center Director, so stay tuned for the job description or feel free to reach out if you're in the market for a new Director-level position! We can't wait to meet you!

  • Today, Miss Stendy launched her reading program in New Smyrna Beach, FL and Hire Up Recruiting cannot wait to be one of her sponsors! She read a book, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey by Lucille Colandro, to the Pre-K classroom and each student will go home with a copy of the book after school today! We're not sure who loved it more, Miss Stendy or the students.

  • Here's why working with a recruiter who focuses on a very specific industry, in this case Early Childhood Education (ECE), is helpful: ✅ Hire Up Recruiting has a huge database of candidates that we've been building since 2021 that are ALL in the ECE industry. On top of that database, we've connected with thousands of ECE professionals via LinkedIn. This is all about building a strong network! ✅ When a new client comes online, we reach out to the candidates in their market to see if they're open to exploring a new ECE opportunity - we don't have to start our search at square one! ✅ We don't forget the unicorn candidates we've had conversations with and we do everything we can to find the right school for them. A perfect example happened just this week - we brought on a new client in Rockland, MA that is looking for a strong Director. Back in July 2024, we spoke with perhaps the strongest Director candidate we have ever spoken with and the school where he interviewed thought he was great, they just went with someone else who had a little more flexibility in their schedule. So, we reached out to him this morning about the opportunity in Rockland and he's extremely interested in interviewing. Again, we didn't have to start our search at square one. We have an incredible candidate and this might just be the perfect fit for him! The call took 5-minutes and we already have a strong submittal for the owners to consider. They have been online with us for exactly 2-days. ✅ ECE schools are all competing for the same qualified candidates and more schools are being built everyday. If you aren't able to react quickly to a candidate's interest in your position, you'll most likely lose them to the school down the street. If you're competing against Hire Up Recruiting, we can promise you that you can't react faster than we can, because this is ALL. WE. DO.

  • We've been supporting this school, on and off as they've needed us, since December 2021 - the very first month Hire Up Recruiting started! It's awesome to know that after all this time, they still find value in what we do and we're always ready to jump right back in to help them fill their open positions. Welcome back, Gilberstville! Let's get to work!
