Last week, HRMC provided Stop the Bleed training to SD Highway Patrol troopers and motor carrier personnel in Huron! Stop the Bleed is a national training, which guides individuals through the three steps to stop bleeding, focusing on how to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound, how to pack a wound to control bleeding and how to correctly apply a tourniquet. We are grateful for all law enforcement personnel do each day to keep us safe!

The first BREATHE-SD respiratory care program students at HRMC recently began classes at the hospital as part of a $1.5 million Health Resources and Services Administration grant received by HRMC in partnership with South Dakota State University (SDSU) and Northern Plains Health Network (NPHN) affiliate hospitals in Madison and Brookings.
