Last month, The CT Dental Health Partnership’s Health Equity Officer, Awilda M., led a training session at the CT State Dental Association (CSDA) conference. The course focused on advancing cultural competence in communication and patient-centered care, particularly in the context of oral health care in Connecticut. The 200 participants present gained insights into strategies for working with diverse cultural backgrounds and patients with disabilities, equipping them with tactics to enhance the provision of effective, culturally and linguistically appropriate services (CLAS) in their dental practices.
