Our Vice President JT Long did her best to visit all that is new and fun for groups starting with Jacksonville International Airport where a $344 million expansion to add a concourse, restaurants and parking is making this easy-to-navigate gateway to Northeast Florida even easier. ✈ The central home base to share JAX with attendees is Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, the largest convention center space in the city blocks from downtown with access to the water taxi, 24-hour market, two restaurants and a rooftop pool and gym. The conference room patios with views of the river alone will have everyone smiling in the Florida sun. 🌞. Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center, a converted train depot that retains the grandeur of a gilded age was a high-ceilinged pleasant surprise. 🚂 In the developing Jacksonville sports complex, (Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp MiLB Baseball, Jacksonville Armada MLS Next Pro Soccer, Jacksonville Icemen ECJL Hockey, Jacksonville Axemen USARL Rugby, Jacksonville 95ers TBL Baseball) the city is investing in EverBank and Daily’s Place/Flex Field where improvements are opening up spaces for special events and possibly another Super Bowl in the home of the Jaguars. 🐆 River Club is a sophisticated private option for library meetings with a view. 🍸 For something completely different and industrial chic, we stopped by The Glass Factory, which retains its worn-brick roots with a light-filled expo/gala space under the twinkle lights. 💡 A hidden gem was beautiful and functional indoor and outdoor event space at Jacksonville Main Library Meeting Space and Conference Center. It presents like a gallery. 🖼️ A quick Go Tuk’n ride to Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens reveals the rich history of a city built of logistics and movie production. 🎥 And it wouldn’t be a visit to Jax without getting our toes in the sand at the beaches. One Ocean Resort is the luxurious way to retreat with beach chairs, firepits and a spa with a view. 🐚 More history is alive and restored at Florida Theatre, one of the last motion picture palaces in the country dating back to 1929 and lovingly cared for. 🍿 With so much still in the works, including a Four Seasons going up in the sports complex, a new riverfront science museum next door to Jacksonville Naval Museum, we may have to send her back sooner rather than later and have her stay for even longer. 🏝️ Visit Jacksonville Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Prime F Osborn Convention Center EverBank Field Go Tuk'n, Inc.
