At Hygge Abode, we curate pieces for your home and health education that encourage you to slow down and savor your life.

About us

Hi, I'm Rachel and I started Hygge Abode with my husband, Chad. I have a doctorate in nursing and have dedicated my life to helping others find health and wellness. As a nurse practitioner, I've treated countless individuals and initiated programs to promote the well-being of people. As an expert in caring for older adults, I've learned that the home affects the physical and mental health of people who live there. Through my work, I've dedicated hours to teaching about the impact of food and home on health. Chad, my husband, is a mechanical engineer with 20+ years of experience designing cars and luxury interiors. He has crafted most of the furniture in our home. He specializes in creating artisan concrete items hosted in our store, showcasing his impeccable attention to detail. My home design choices are influenced by my Scandinavian and Hungarian heritage, and I embrace hygge to create a sense of rest and connection. Now I want to help you reimagine your home as a sanctuary for self-care, connection, and inspiration. I will help you build a 'hygge abode' by both curating sustainable and thoughtful items for your home and teaching you how to live a hygge-inspired life. We also believe in giving back, which is why 10% of all of Hygge Abode's sales help support housing for people in their local community.
