Yesterday, we shared Sylve Chevet interview on Daria Volkova's podcast. For anyone who missed it or prefers written highlights, here’s a quick recap! Hylé is building a network for the future of zero-knowledge (ZK). Instead of cramming ZK into traditional blockchains, we’re designing a decentralized network tailored for provable applications, giving you 𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐲 by default. Hylé’s lean blockchain concept means slower devices can verify work done by faster ones, 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Sylve sees ZK expanding beyond blockchain, from ID verification to financial transparency. Want to learn more about the future of provable applications? Hylé is a lean blockchain that helps you build provable applications that are minimally, yet sufficiently, onchain.
About us
Provable applications give us security and privacy through zero-knowledge proofs. They solve the trust dilemma without sacrificing scalability. However, ZK technology remains very constraining because of its fragmented stack, different proving systems, and slow value chain, which limits its potential. 𝐇𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧, allowing developers to build minimally but sufficiently on-chain provable apps. We focus only on what matters: sequencing and settlement. With Hylé, you avoid the high costs, poor performance, and fragmented tools of zkApp development. Our chain handles proofs hassle-free, enabling you to outsource proof generation, parallelize verification, and ensure compatibility. Our modular settlement layer works with any execution engine, proof system, or prover. We give you complete flexibility, and 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝.

« We need more apps » and « We need more infrastructure » are not mutually exclusive. In ZK, we need more of everything, Matteo Mervoyer argues in the latest episode of the Hylé podcast! Watch the full episode on our YouTube channel! (Link in comments!)

« Our argument is that applications and rollups will become interchangeable. They will be the same thing. Rollups are apps, and apps are rollups. » Watch Lancelot's full talk: https://lnkd.in/eYuqeSVx

🎙️ The first episode of the Hylé podcast is OUT! In this episode, our host Alex Sirac talks with Matteo Mervoyer, Hylé’s first grantee. ♟Matteo has built a play-by-email provable games engine, leveraging zkEmail and RISC Zero for proof generation and Hylé for proof composition & settlement. Topics we cover include: ♟️ zkChess and provable game engines 🔮 The potential of provable apps ⛰️ RISC Zero and zkEmail ✅ Native proof composability on Hylé 🕵️ Witness encryption 📽️ Watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/e93uFg5h 📖 Or read the highlights: https://lnkd.in/eFMNzkrP

ZK will be bigger than blockchains, but first, we need to gain critical mass ⛰️ Don't miss the first episode of the Hylé podcast with Alex Sirac and Matteo Mervoyer tomorrow!

🚀 Zero-knowledge proofs are groundbreaking, but onchain proof verification today is 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭. 💡 We need to make proof verification native. 🐢 With onchain proof verification in a VM, you need to constantly rewrite, re-audit, redeploy your smart contract if you make change. And the embedded VM is slow, with high gas fees. ⛰️ Proof aggregation is a popular solution, but it’s not enough: ⏳ Multiple computations are needed. ⏱️ There are delays waiting to gather enough proofs for aggregation. ⚖️ It only works across a single proving scheme. What we need is 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥. ⚡ Here's why Hylé makes it better: • Flexibility in choosing your execution layer & state storage solution. • No execution overhead, lighter nodes, and faster finality. • Future-proof design. ♻️ With native proof verification, #zkApps become easy and affordable to deploy and maintain. Just like you don’t code a hash function every time you need one, you shouldn’t have to rebuild verifiers for each circuit! 🚅 Learn more on our blog: https://lnkd.in/eDHsnbR6 #ZeroKnowledgeProofs #AppliedCryptography
