Introducing this month’s employee spotlight – Mike Evanoff, our Senior Manager, Product Planning. Michael inherited his father’s passion for cars at a very young age as he spent much of his career in the automotive industry, knowing even before high school that he wanted to work in this industry. What keeps him excited about working at Hyundai? Working with a great team on vehicles that continue to surprise and delight customers and achieve critical acclaim from automotive media! The best career advice he has received is that understanding your customer and their experience both for purchase and the ownership cycle provides a good foundation moving forward in your career .💡 For those looking to work in the automotive field, Michael says, "Understanding the customer is important along with strong foundations in basic automotive functions and operations. A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering followed with a business degree would go a long way." His biggest achievement is the 2021 Elantra winning North American Car of the Year.🏆 Michael graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and now lives in Irvine, CA with his wife. He enjoys photography, camping with his 2024 Santa Fe, traveling with his wife and would one day love to attend the 24H of Le Mans! We love having you at Hyundai, Michael!

Through our corporate social responsibility initiative, Hyundai Hope, we recently visited the Coastal Georgia area, home to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). We announced a new partnership with Ducks Unlimited, supporting its wetland and waterfowl conservation efforts. We also continued our partnerships with Habitat Savannah on expanding affordable home ownership, as well as the Salvation Army of Savannah on alleviating food insecurity. 🧡 We are proud to partner with organizations who share our desire to give hope to those in need and help our communities thrive. ✨ #HyundaiHope #Sustainability #Housing #HungerRelief

Last week, we brought the Hyundai Hydrogen STEM Program to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley. After learning about hydrogen fuel cell technology, 60 students built their own mini hydrogen-powered vehicles and raced them on a Hyundai track. Thank you to Ricky Downton for sharing your insights about your product planning career and a look at the Hyundai NEXO, Hyundai’s hydrogen-powered SUV. We are proud to continue supporting STEM education and inspiring the next generation of leaders to think about sustainable solutions for the future. ✨
