Their son, Josh Kroehler, joined the team as Chief Operations Officer in 2021 after several years in management with Amazon. Over the last four years, he has worked alongside his parents, learning from the very best. Keith and Lisa will now retire as owners, with Josh purchasing the company and proudly taking the reins to continue its growth. Reflecting on this transition, Josh shared, “It’s been a great joy to work closely with my parents, witnessing firsthand the dedication and hard work that went into building this company from the ground up. Our window cleaning capabalities include high rise, man lifts, water-fed pole work and ladderwork. Soft Washing is better than pressure washing! Soft Washing uses a gentle spray of eco-friendly cleaners to kill mildew, algae, moss, lichen and other fungus on roofs, siding, decks, concrete, paver stones, retaining walls, fences and more. Do you have black streaks on your roof? That's not dirt, it's algae. It is Gloeocapsa magma, an airborne algae that moved in from the Caribbean to the East coast many years ago. It took several years to move to the Midwest, but now it's prevalent everywhere. Mildew is often commonly found on the exterior of houses because of the wet springs and humid summers here. IDW is a five-star company with Soft Wash Systems International. There are more than 250 companies in the US in this network and only 10 are five-star companies. IDW employees are professionally trained and follow OSHA and ANSI guidelines for window cleaners.
