  • 📣 The 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (#CSW69) starts today! From 10 to 21 March 2025, governments, civil society, and activists are coming together at the United Nations to drive progress on gender equality. 🔔 We are happy to share one of the parallel events of CSW69 that IAAP is co-sponsoring: “Resilience as Resistance: Trauma Healing for Myanmar Women Amid Crisis” taking place virtually on Thursday, March 20, 2025, 6:30-8:00PM (ET). ✨ The discussion will highlight the complexities of supporting gender-based violence survivors in the context of ongoing political turmoil and emphasize how trauma education and mental health awareness are not only essential for individual healing but also crucial for peace-building and community rehabilitation in Myanmar, which can serve as a model for other countries in conflict. In the absence of resources, the fight for justice and freedom itself becomes an act of resistance, making self-care and mental well-being not just personal necessities, but vital contributions to the strength of the community and the broader struggle for freedom.  🤝 Join us in exchanging expertise, resources, and insights on fostering resilience for women survivors. This session reaffirms that amid crises, women survivors are not just victims, they are leaders and change makers shaping the future of their communities. 💻 Register for this virtual event ➡️https://buff.ly/Svyz7OY
