📢 Save the Date: ICON-S Benelux Chapter, 2nd Conference! On 22-23 May 2025, the ICON-S Benelux Chapter will host its general conference at the Université libre de Bruxelles, focusing on the very timely theme: "Public Law in an Age of Contestation and Systemic Change"! This event is a fantastic opportunity for the public law community across the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and beyond. 🌍 🎤 Keynote speakers include Emmanuelle Bribosia (Professor and Constitutional Judge) and Herwig Hofmann (Professor of European and Transnational Public Law). 🌟This conference will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ULB's Centre de droit européen, a decade of excellence in EU law and governance! 🎉 Interested in contributing? 📢 CALL FOR PAPERS 📢 After a successful event last year, ICON-S Benelux is organising its second conference, this time on the topic of "Public Law in an Age of Contestation and Systemic Change". 📍 Brussels 📅 22-23 May 2025 The conference will feature various sessions and panels, keynote speeches, and an event for young scholars. All information and the call for papers can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eqT76QgN We accept submissions until 15 February 2025. We welcome submissions from both senior and junior scholars (including doctoral students), from Benelux States and beyond. Submissions can offer multi-disciplinary perspectives from various areas of law (including civil, criminal, tax, and labor law), as well as from e.g. the humanities and the social sciences (e.g. history, economics, political science, sociology) with an interest in the conference’s theme. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Brussels!

🔙 Throwback to our "methodology in legal research" workshop held at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles last week. The event was a success, with great presentations by experts in the morning (many thanks again to Arthur Dyevre, Bruno de Witte and Joana Mendes!), and an interactive session in the afternoon, during which all of our participants had the opportunity to take the floor and discuss practical questions with the speakers. 💡 📢 STAY TUNED for our November event, which will be announced next week!
