What's one thing you think every new hire should know about IDEMIA? IDEMIA is constantly evolving, so being able to adapt is key. There are always new opportunities to learn, grow, and advance. Embracing change will help you succeed. What's something you've done at work that you never imagined you'd do? I’ve had the chance to take on a leadership role and work on projects that can sometimes push me out of my comfort zone. It has been an incredible learning experience! What do you look forward to most each day? I look forward to the unexpected. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities that allow me to adapt, which keeps my work exciting and engaging. How do you handle challenges or setbacks at work? As a manager there are always challenges or setbacks that can come up. When dealing with these situations, I try to focus on problem solving and to stay as clear headed as possible. Who has been a mentor or role model to you in your career? I’ve been fortunate enough to work with a strong team. When I first started, I had the NY OM team and Darin Fuhro who were especially helpful. Through collaboration, communication, guidance and support, she leads her team with a proactive and strategic approach to meet not only IDEMIA’s goals and initiatives, but all of our individual goals as well. To say she goes above and beyond for her team members is an understatement, and she does so in a way that shows us she truly cares about our individual and company success! Read below to learn more about Susan! What's a small win in your role that always makes your day better? I field many questions on a daily basis, from external customers and across multiple internal departments, and I find it very satisfying to be able to provide the answers my colleagues are looking for and to successfully resolve customer issues. What's one company value that resonates with you the most, and why? The company value that resonates with me the most is Together; working with both internal and external customers to communicate and build relationships, while working towards common goal. If you had to describe your job using only 3 words, what would they be? I’m responsible for managing and driving the renewal process for existing Criminal Justice customers. I work closely with customers, sales, finance, program management, and field service to ensure timely and successful renewals of maintenance agreements. Three words to describe my job are collaboration, communication, and attentiveness. What's one lesson you've learned in this role that you'll carry with you? Actively listen to customers and colleagues to understand their needs. What's one item on your bucket list you're excited to check off someday?
