To co-design Soluna, a mental health resource for California youth, the IDEO team engaged another 150 young people to help design, shape, and test the app. At the same time, Kooth and IDEO created a clinical oversight group, which included a pediatrician, therapists, and other clinical specialists. The pandemic ushered in a new era of #travel that galvanized dramatic changes in the #hospitality industry. Factors like construction costs, smaller market cities, and the rise of “bleisure” trips (business 🤝 leisure) all provided challenges for hotels to meet traveler expectations. In 2023, IHG Hotels & Resorts partnered with IDEO to build Garner, a midscale hotel brand designed to cultivate a welcoming and adventurous atmosphere. The team created a custom logo rendered by hand, bespoke navigation icons, and a full interior and exterior signage system.
