IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) reposted this
The September issue of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Magazine has just been released on IEEE Xplore. In this new issue, it is shown how current digital technologies, through five different but complementary perspectives, are deeply reshaping the field of electrical grids and microgrids. These perspectives are, respectively, the redesign of the power architecture to make the (micro)grids more controllable and flexible, the different types and levels of digital communications within the microgrids, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to better monitor the state-of-health of critical components, the blockchain circular economy to help the energy transition solutions to be more responsible, and finally, a prospective vision of brain modeling to control and protect future microgrids. And as always, do not miss the editorial columns to be informed of the latest activities from the IES society! Enjoy the read!
