We're Hiring! We are seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant to provide program support to IEGO. Learn more about the position and how to apply here: https://lnkd.in/gMU8-eS7. The Executive Administrative Assistant will coordinate multi-organization events, interface with and convene public and private stakeholders, maintain the executive director’s schedule and coordinate meetings and communications, manage communications for the IEGO Steering committee, and assist in budgetary activities. Qualifications: • Education/Experience: A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred. • Associate degree from a community college and two years of related experience or four years of training and experience in economic, business, workforce development, or customer-related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Language Ability: Reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. • Communication Skills: Work with diverse stakeholders and communicate effectively in professional environments. • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should know Microsoft Word, Excel, E-mail, Zoom, Google Docs, and PowerPoint. Last week, IEGO attended Inland Empire Community Foundation’s 2024 Policy & Philanthropy Summit where we heard numerous enlightening and valuable conversations centered around the Vital Conditions Framework. Executive Director, Matthew Mena, led a breakout room at the event on the topic of growing an inclusive and generative economy. He provided an overview of IEGO’s work and the California Jobs First initiative and facilitated meaningful discussions with participants of varying backgrounds. IEGO team members strengthened current connections and started building new networks. IEGO was proud to be a sponsor for the IECF 2024 Policy & Philanthropy Summit! #InvestingtoThrive

Take a look back at the IE Youth Trades & Career Show! IEGO was thrilled to be a sponsor for this event that showcased the diverse trades and careers available to the youth in the Inland Empire. 

The IEGO team participated in the Inland Empire/Desert Regional Consortium's (IEDRC) Career & Technical Education (CTE) conference in San Diego last week. This gathering fostered collaboration among deans, enabling them to share academic plans, plan events, and explore partnership opportunities for upcoming initiatives. IEGO's Center of Excellence (COE) team leveraged this opportunity to present data updates and upcoming training focused on utilizing Labor Market Data and trends specific to the Inland Empire. This valuable interaction sets the stage for continued collaboration and team building between IEGO’s COE team and the regional CTE deans throughout the academic year.

IEGO had the opportunity to be a sponsor for the 33rd Annual General Assembly & Leadership Address held by the Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG). It was a great event where IEGO team members created new connections, fostered current connections, and listened to incredible speakers.

Last week, IEGO hosted the Corporate Council Convening where attendees heard informative presentations from industry leaders focusing on job creation and workforce development in the Inland Empire. Key insights were heard from the recently appointed California Workforce Development Board Director, E. Kaina Pereira, Marek Gootman from the Brookings Institution, Dr. Wolde-Ab Isaac from the Riverside Community College District, and Samuel Bayless from the Nikola Corporation. A welcome and introduction for the city of Ontario was presented by Jennifer McLain Hiramoto. Thank you to all those who attended the IEGO Corporate Council Convening and for your continued interest in tackling the issues the Inland Empire is facing.
