🤝 A busy week of IESBA Outreach! 🌎 In London, IESBA Program and Senior Director, Ken Siong and IESBA Principal, Jon Reid FCA Reid attended a two-day working meeting with representatives from the International Accreditation Forum Inc (including the IAF Chair Emanuele Riva), UKAS, Accredia and TIC Council at DNV’s offices. The meeting significantly advanced the development of a common framework of robust ethics and independence standards for sustainability assurance engagements performed by conformity assessment bodies. This common framework will be aligned to the global baseline of the International Ethics Standards for Sustainability Assurance (including International Independence Standards) (IESSA) issued by the IESBA as a critical part of the foundation for reliable, credible and trustworthy sustainability information in the public interest. In New York City, IESBA Directior Dr. Linda Biek, AICPA, HKICPA, CGMA, and IESBA Principal Jeanne Viljoen met with members of the IFAC PAO Development & Advisory Group to discuss the IESBA Code.
