On October 16, IFMA Philly held an event at St. Joseph’s University to hear about the Campus Master Plan overview presentation and then a walking tour on campus. The program was led by Ken Ogawa, AVP of Administrative Services and Kevin Mueller, Senior Director of Construction and Planning. The attendees were presented a snapshot of current projects either recently completed or on track for completion within the next year. Then the presenters discussed the next phase of the campus master planning for the next 5 years which includes more classrooms, residence halls and green space. St. Joseph’s has also started a Nursing Program this year and is looking to add additional healthcare focused programs. After the presentation, Ken and Kevin led the group on a walking tour to see some of the newly completed projects such as Post Crossing, which is a tunnel connecting the campus from the Philadelphia side to the Lower Merion side under City Avenue. This project is a game changer for the students and is being heavily used. Some of the other projects viewed during the walking tour was the O’Pake Fitness Center and the upcoming First Year Residence Hall (still under construction). The program ended with drinks and appetizers at the Maguire Wolfington Welcome Center (which at one time was the residence for the Cardinal of Philadelphia Archdiocese). Special thanks to Ken and Kevin for their help in making this such a successful program!
