TikTok and YouTube lead in consumer spend, HBO Max and LinkedIn are rising, while Instagram surpasses TikTok in downloads, and X (formerly Twitter) struggles with declining popularity. 2. MFA websites consume 11% of programmatic ad spend despite being 2% of sites, prompting Google, Yahoo, and Integral Ad Science to develop solutions to improve ad spend transparency and quality. 3. Google is testing moving link cards to the top of AI Overviews, enhancing visibility and click-through rates for publishers. 4. Toys R Us is using OpenAI's text-to-video tool Sora to create ads, hoping to revitalize their brand. 5. Google’s Universal Analytics ends on July 1, 2024, with GA4 offering new tools like expanded cross-channel reporting and AI-powered summaries. 6. Google Ads introduces updates including misspelled search term reporting, negative keyword blocking, and expanded brand exclusions. 7. Branded Keywords and SERP Ranking: Google confirms branded keywords do not hurt rankings and can help if they answer user queries. 8. End of Infinite Scroll on Google: Google is replacing infinite scroll with a pagination bar on desktop and mobile search results. 9. Gen Z increasingly uses social media over traditional search engines for brand discovery and product research. 10. TikTok's Support Programs for Retailers: TikTok launches SOAR Together. 11.
