Congratulations to Scott Seal, our winner of the Star Employee Award for the Second Quarter of 2024! In his 11 years with iGov, Scott has proven himself to be a great asset to our team, surpassing both customer and internal expectations. It’s no wonder then that Scott was recently promoted to Lead Engineer of one of our newest programs. Scott’s versatility, proactivity and dedication are just some of the attributes that have led him to make significant contributions to multiple programs thus far. Scott enjoys the different challenges each day brings at iGov. He says, “Working on multiple programs brings me different problem sets and allows me to find different solutions.” Scott also enjoys traveling to bases and interacting with warfighters, as it “reminds [him] of [his] time in the Marines and brings back some of the camaraderie that [he misses]”. We have no doubt Scott will continue to excel in his newest role as Lead Engineer, as he admits “a sense of accomplishment and a job well done” are two things that motivate his performance. Scott says, “I believe in leaving a place, object or situation better than when you got there. I also like reaching my next professional goal. I have done a lot of things over my 11 years at iGov, and I appreciate the culture of promoting from within.” Thank you, Scott, for everything you’ve done for iGov. We look forward to the years ahead!

Removing cables from a mesh MANET setup keeps cost down and simplifies deployment. Doodle Labs' Wearable Mesh Rider Radio has a built-in wi-fi hotspot for tethering to an end-user device, making iGov's Low-Cost MANET Kit an uncluttered, cost-effective tool for successfully deploying TAK in the field.

Thank you Doodle Labs for sharing! Contact us at tacticalcomms@igov.com to learn more.
Leading military tactical teams around the world call on a mesh radio MANET (mobile ad-hoc network) to support the use of situational awareness platforms like TAK to share high-bandwidth data in real time and coordinate missions safely and swiftly. But for some federal groups and many state and local public safety outfits with limiting budgets, there hasn't existed a viable option in the space. Low-end IP Radios only offer low-throughput functionality for dots on a map and possibly voice comms. The exorbitant price-tag of high-end options (up to $20k a radio) are a budgetary non-starter. iGov assembled its new Low-cost MANET Kit around Doodle Labs' Wearable Mesh Rider Radio to give tactical teams all they need for resilient, long-range connectivity over TAK in challenging environments, and come in under $5,000 all-in for the radio + EUD + custom headset.
