Earlier this month, a group of 9 #IGSers traveled to Mexico as part of our Renewable Energy Corps, an #IGSImpact program that brings solar power to communities currently lacking reliable, affordable electricity. Twice a year, employees have the opportunity to get hands-on with solar installation while experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime cultural opportunity that’s both challenging and rewarding. Amazing work GRID Alternatives Mexico team and international travelers from IGS Energy for bringing an 8kW grid-tied rooftop solar system to Casa del Jardin in Tijuana this month. Casa del Jardin is an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico that is home to boys, girls, and adolescents between the ages of 5 and 17 who are recovering from human trafficking.
