Last week, Illinois Green hosted our LARGEST-EVER Women in Green Building Leadership Luncheon! Over 200 women and allies from across the industry joined to celebrate and engage with the influential women at the forefront of sustainable design and construction. For this month's Volunteer Spotlight, we’re celebrating the great work of Jessica Haberstock! I just attended the Women in Green Building Leadership Luncheon hosted by Illinois Green Alliance and had a splendid time! This year’s theme, “Growing Your Impact,” explored how green building professionals can elevate their voices and activate their networks to advance sustainability to the next level. The panel discussion on finding mentors, being a mentee, and amplifying our impact was incredibly insightful. I also gained valuable knowledge about navigating the job market and loved hearing inspiring stories from the panelists about their diverse career paths. The best part? Networking with enthusiastic young women and allies at my luncheon table while enjoying delicious food! It’s always motivating to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about building a healthier and more sustainable future.
