Just when you thought you were safe after getting your parrot fitted with ear plugs…. This is wild. A researcher got an email recap after his meeting with two venture capital investors from their "AI Meeting Assistant." The email contained a transcript of the meeting...INCLUDING the part of the meeting AFTER the researcher logged off! Of course the venture capital investors discussed their failures and "cooked metrics." So just know this situation is becoming more common; the effects will been seen in across the board. Salesforce has Agentforce, Microsoft Copilot, Slack...you name it, it's coming. Companies will need to mute the office "funny guy" who loves to do his act after the zoom wraps up. No earplugs for these parrots. Stay safe out there! (Article link in comments).

Is AI going to steal my job? This chart should give you an idea. Because let’s be honest, that’s what we care about. They say a recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you do. The big takeaway: AI is coming for white collar, hands-off jobs. If you work remote, on your laptop, sharpen your spidey senses. If you work a blue collar, hands-on jobs you’ll be less affected. This is the opposite of what happened to jobs in the US 30 years ago. Expect the effects on the educational industrial complex to be vast. Finally, the SILVER LINING you may not have considered. This is a HUGE opportunity if you have entrepreneurial desire and are already in a field being disrupted. Think about it. You marshal the tech disrupting your industry and you can be 10 people. Somebody will do it, why not you.

Maybe this is basic to some of you; but it was a revelation to me. When I realized proxies were useful and effective, but blocking desire and ego was the key to clear thinking. (Think of the brilliant people you know who continually make terrible decisions). So, lifting weights, extreme diet, running, hiking, meditating, all create the state necessary for wisdom. But that state is humility. The proxies break you down and humble you. Then you can see the truth. Being able to access that state of humility, or exist continually in it, is the goal.
