Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is one of the most common mental health conditions in the United States, affecting over 21 million adults each year. Depression can impact daily functioning and quality of life, leading to serious emotional, social, and physical challenges. According to the 2021 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 8.3% of U.S. adults reported experiencing at least one major depressive episode in the past year, and the highest rates were found among younger adults (ages 18-25). At IMA Clinical Research, we understand how research addresses this growing mental health crisis. Our experience conducting clinical trials for MDD aims to uncover new treatment options and improve the lives of those living with depression. Clinical research helps us better understand how depression affects individuals differently and how new treatments can offer hope for better outcomes. As part of National Depression Education Awareness Month, we are committed to raising awareness about MDD and its impact on communities while conducting research that helps advance the treatment and understanding of this condition. https://lnkd.in/g2akuME8
