    Kick off the 4th of July holiday with IM ABLE! Join us for our Rally Point Independence Ride on the scenic Schuylkill River Trail in Wyomissing, PA on Wednesday, July 3rd. This ride is designed to be inclusive, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities. Distances range from 5 to 20 miles, accommodating riders of various speeds—from brisk to leisurely, there’s a group for everyone! We’ll convene at the Brentwood Trailhead of the Schuylkill River Trail, ready to roll out at 4:30pm. Afterward, quench your thirst at Trooper Thorns Irish Beef House, conveniently located just a 2-minute bike ride or 1-minute drive from the trailhead. If you require an adaptive handcycle or recumbent bike, please contact Becky Rennix at becky@imablefoundation.org. Let’s pedal into Independence Day together!

The IM ABLE Foundation in Wyomissing, PA, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Adaptive Fitness Instructor to lead 1-3 classes per week. You'll develop and implement adaptive fitness programs for veterans and individuals with disabilities, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.     We're thrilled to introduce Lindsay Fritz, our new Personal Trainer here at IM ABLE! Lindsay brings a wealth of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/Licensed (COAT/L) and Certified Personal Trainer, with a deep passion for fitness and empowering individuals with disabilities. Her journey started with Easter Seals, where she honed her skills as a Vocational Specialist before transitioning into occupational therapy. Lindsay's background spans diverse environments from acute care to schools, with a special focus on pediatric clients. Her dedication to the adaptive community is further bolstered by her Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Lindsay is eager to merge her expertise in functional movement and the mind-body connection to help athletes of all abilities achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives through fitness.     Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Hits for Hope Tennis Tournament! 313 players participated in the largest tennis tournament in the history of Pennsylvania, raising over $5,250 for the IM ABLE Foundation to support our programs and adaptive equipment grants. On Saturday, we held a wheelchair tennis clinic, welcoming both able-bodied players and wheelchair users to explore the world of adaptive tennis. It was a vibrant and inclusive environment, with wheelchairs provided on-site for those interested in trying it out. Check out the amazing photos from the event!
