🌊 Last week, the European Junior Water Programme gathered in Lisbon for an exciting training week as part of the iMERMAID EU project, bringing together professionals and innovators in water management. 💡During these days, participants explored project development, cross-cultural collaboration, and innovative approaches like #DigitalTwins. Hands-on activities like the Lego Serious Play session and field visits provided fresh insights into tackling water challenges. 🔝This week-long programme in Lisbon demonstrated the strength of peer learning, collaboration, and innovative thinking. On our final day in Lisbon, Leo Mensel of ECSA - European Citizen Science Association organized a visit to the GelAvista project, an innovative jellyfish monitoring initiative based on #CitizenScience. This visit gave us unique insights into marine ecosystems, citizen engagment and Jellyfish. What stood out is that Citizen Engagement has enourmess value to gether data, scientist alone can not. And GelAvista is so succesful because two wonderful ladies @GelAvista are so passionate about their research and the connection with their observers! Closing the week with a big thank you to F6S Innovation (@Daniela & Ellie) for the hospitality, your input in the programme together with iMERMAID EU, H2O People, ECSA - European Citizen Science Association.
