Last month, I had the honor and pleasure of representing iiCare Foundation during the collaboration with Ray Lewis & Partners at the Annual Leigh Steinberg Humanitarian Super Bowl Event (2025). By partnering with Fandiem to crowdfund the campaign, not only did a lucky winner get the Super Bowl experience of a lifetime, but much-needed resources were able to go back into NOLA communities that needed them most. Through the power of partnership, iiCare raised over $100,000 in two weeks as part of the first “Play for Purpose” Campaign launched in New Orleans. These funds are being used to empower underserved communities through economic mobility and financial literacy programs. This event proved that, by combining athlete influence, corporate partnerships, and digital fundraising, we can drive sustainable social impact. iiCare Foundation and Immersion use the power of human-centered design to create transformative change by bringing leaders, innovators, and resources together to collaborate on impactful, sustainable solutions. As many know, my father battled an extremely rare terminal cancer for six years before passing in August 2023. I met Nathan Harris & Kiam Cook a few months after and instantly connected with their stories and the iiCare mission. Having lived through the nightmare of healthcare barriers and financial disparities that plague many other families during their greatest time of need; I knew the opportunity to change lives for the better was something I wanted to support in any capacity I could. Being active in the McDonald’s and iiCare/Immersion missions, I see how aligned our brand values and social impact initiatives are. I’m in the process of connecting with Chicagoland RMHC on opportunities. If you know of someone else to connect with in our McFamily to make an even bigger impact, comment below or share this with them! Regardless of what brand and networks you’re part of, you can visit Immersion Innovation to learn more about the story of iiCare, how Play for Purpose can be brought to your community, and other ways to support breaking down barriers here: https://lnkd.in/gWZMrpBf 📸: Tony Lattimore 📍: New Orleans Jazz Museum
