IMR Test Labs-Singapore, one of the only GE Aerospace Central Coatings Labs in the world, is offering a training class for evaluating coatings. The class will be held from March 11-15 in our Singapore lab. The hands-on class combines classroom instruction and lab work. The Wright Brothers were awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross by Act of Congress in 1903. This honored military award of the US Armed Forces recognizes those who display exceptional heroism or achieve remarkable feats while participating in aerial flight. This award was given for the brothers', "heroism and extraordinary achievement, vision, perseverance, courage, and skill, designed, constructed, and operated the airplane at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, on 17 December 1903, made the first successful flight under its own power and carrying a human operator thereby making possible achievements which are now stirring the emotions and pride of this world."
