📢 Exciting news from inCitu! We’re honored to announce our spot in the TOP 3 finalists for the QBE #AcceliCITY resilience challenge, driven by Australian Red Cross Humanitech, Leading Cities, and backed by QBE Insurance. 🌍 🔎Our team learned so much through the incredible curriculum and presenters brought together by our track leaders. One key theme regarding humanitarian tech was the need for more investment in communities before disasters take place, and how strengthening social and imagination infrastructures can be more effective than building hard infrastructure alone. 💭In our work with cities, AEC professionals and community advocates, we've already seen how inCitu can be a powerful platform for bringing transformative built environment projects to life-- but this program helped us hone in on our bigger theory of change: how coming together in real life and using inCitu to experience proposed futures on-site might strengthen our capacity to discuss and navigate change collectively. We believe that as a regular practice, immersive experiences like inCituAR can boost trust, create more engaged cities, and foster communities that can respond better together to the 21st century challenges yet to be experienced. 🌠As an AcceliCITY finalist, inCitu is excited to test our theory of change with our pilot proposal, further develop our tech roadmap, and explore new partnerships to bridge the gap between urban/regional planning and the people it impacts. 🙏 Huge thanks to the program staff and presenters, and congratulations to our fellow innovators Communiti Labs and WEO🌍! Looking forward to joining you all at the #Humanitech Summit in Melbourne next month, where one winner will be named. Let’s unlock pathways to better futures together! 🚧When road construction pops up out of nowhere, how many people will connect the dots back to a dense PDF file from a local meeting? 📝People remember stories not data, and AR helps us experience the future together before it happens, so that everyone is on the same page. ✨Whether you are a community advocate or a transit professional, inCituAR can help you create transformative conversations around complex spatial plans. inCitu is a no code AR solution, tuned for low barrier public engagement and integrations with Esri ArcGIS and other essential tools in your workflow, so you can get started in minutes, iterate faster, and share your ideas without any friction🤳🛣️ #GIS #Data #AR #3D #AEC #ArchViz
Imagine being able to explore the future of your city as if you were examining a physical model — right from your own desk. Today, the landscape of planning documents is dominated by 2D site plans and static pdf's — formats that make it tough for the public to fully engage with future projects. But what if instead, planners could make complex planning concepts more accessible to the public by bringing their designs to life in 3D? For instance, picture launching a new Complete Streets initiative and leveraging #CityEngine to generate realistic 3D street typologies in minutes. Then, with an AR application like #inCituPro, enabling residents to visualize the model right in their own space with a simple QR code scan. Pretty cool right? There is so much untapped potential in using #AR and 3D #GIS to transform the way cities engage with their communities. Share your ideas below on how you see these technologies being used!
