For those wondering the difference between the #Olympics, #Paralympics and #SpecialOlympics, here is a simple and clear explanation. You are welcome!

Your positive action combined with positive thinking results in success.

Everyone talking about the Paralympics or shared the success stories or posts over the social media, but still there are people didn’t know the difference between PO and SO:🧐 Misconceptions around the Olympics, the Paralympics and Special Olympics have existed..😅 Quick facts about the differences between the Paralympics & Special Olympics:😉 Paralympics: • The Paralympics refers to the Paralympic Games, a multi-sport event that happens every 4-years (in both Summer and Winter cycles) • The Paralympics are held in parallel with the Olympic Games (hence “para”) (usually about two weeks after). • The Paralympics have specific rules around eligibility and classification for athletes based on 10 eligible impairments types. • Athletes with disabilities who participate in para sports are Para athletes, but you are not a Paralympian until you compete at the Paralympic Games (similarly not every athlete is considered an Olympian). Special Olympics: * It refers to an organisation and sport system, not a single event. * Participating athletes have an intellectual disability. * It happens also every 4 years in both summer and winter cycles. * In this , it uses divisoning and groups athletes based on age, gender and ability and do not exclude based on performance. Hope it helps and save it for later! #sports #olympics #games #paris2024

🟣 Gender equality in the workplace is critical, but there are still many myths holding us back. 🚫 One of WGEA's study on gender and negotiation has debunked three major myths: 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝟭: 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗻. 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝟮: 𝗠𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻. 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝟯: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀. These misconceptions have been proven wrong! 🎯 Let’s challenge outdated beliefs and create a more equitable work environment for everyone. No, the pay gap is not the same as equal pay for equal work. *Source: Gender and negotiation, WGEA, 2018

    • Orange background. FW explains with a thin black line at the top and bottom of the page. Text: 3 gender equality myths we can't believe we're still hearing in 2024.
    • Pastel yellow page. Two illustrations of people coming out of computer screens. Text: "Women earn less because they don't ask for payrises." Research from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency shows genders request pay rises at the same rate, but women are less likely to get one.
    • The U.S. Workplace Bullying Institute has found that at 60-75% of bullies are men while 60-75% of targets are women. This does not mean women can't be bullies, but that there is no evidence that they are more likely to do it. Red target board with two arrows in it.
    • Orange background with hand boarding it holding various items including house, shirt, money and globe. Text: "The gender pay gap can't exist - paying someone less is illegal."
Closing the gender pay gap is not the same as equal pay for equal work. The pay gap reflects the difference in earnings between women and men. Factors include workforce composition - men are more likely to be promoted to senior roles - as well as unpaid labour, gender segregation and gender bias.

I belong here... Or do I? 🤔 Was ich hier mitteilen möchte, ist: I BELONG HERE. Auch wenn andere mir das Gefühl gegeben haben, dass ich es nicht tue, weiß ich, dass ich es tue. Und du kannst auch dort hingehören, wo DU hinwillst. #InclusiveLeadership #IBelongHere #DiversityInLeadership #Motivation
