Election Statement 📤 As an LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, we aspire to foster an environment of equitable access to economic empowerment for local, vibrant LGBTQ+ communities and those who support equality. It is our mission to expand economic opportunities, advocate for diverse spaces, and promote inclusive leadership. To that end, we would be remiss as an organization if we didn’t remind our members and stakeholders how important the upcoming election on November 5th is for the many communities we represent and beyond. We want to encourage everyone involved with the IBA to do your research to understand the issues that the candidates on the ballots represent and then take action to make your voice heard by voting – whether early, or in person on November 5th at your local polling station. If you’re looking for a resource to help you better understand the candidates, the issues, and how to vote wherever you are in our coverage area, we urge you to find out more with the Committee of Seventy’s nonpartisan interactive voter guide, which you can access here: https://lnkd.in/e7pZWiPS If you are seeking out a resource that focuses on LGBTQ+ issues, you can access The Philadelphia Gay News LGBTQ+ Voter Guide here: https://lnkd.in/eVbASaij Voting is necessary, of course, but not sufficient for a continued, operational democracy. You can learn more ways to get involved as the election approaches: https://lnkd.in/eVUF6VtJ
