About us
IBPA, the Independent Book Publishers Association is a trade association of independent publishers. Founded in 1983, it serves book, audio, and video publishers located in the United States and around the world. Its mission is to advance the professional interests of independent publishers. To this end, IBPA provides cooperative marketing programs, education and advocacy within the publishing industry. IBPA's membership of more than 4,000 publishers continues to grow. Finding ways to increase access for all independent publishers is a big thing for IBPA. That's why CEO Andrea Fleck-Nisbet found herself at the DEIB Publishing Summit this week, in the good company of Tieshena Davis and Renita Bryant. https://lnkd.in/gzM4_TM8
Thanks to Scholastic for hosting this year’s DEIB Publishing Summit. I had the opportunity to attend with IBPA Board Chair, Tieshena Davis and Board Director, Renita Bryant for a day of thought leadership on allyship and coalition building. I am honored to be part of an organization that is on the forefront of change in our industry, and proud that Independent Book Publishers Association received a shoutout for our work from keynote speaker Regina Brooks. Now more than ever, it is time to lean in!
