  • Indian Trail Improvement District's Board of Supervisors represented the community at the annual conference for the Florida’s Association of Special Districts (FASD) #FASD in Orlando. Indian Trail was nominated for two Awards in 2024. "District of the Year" and "Safety Award". We are proud to say, that the District work force earned the Safety Award. Their diligence of continuously working to improve workplace safety has made Indian Trail Improvement District a safe, productive place to work. Scarlet Cantley, District Administration and Grant Coordinator was amongst the first to graduate from the newly established Certified District Administration Professionals Program (CDAP). But, full disclosure, not only did she graduate the program, she was essential for establishing the program in the first place, by recognizing the need and advocating for a streamlined educational program for administrative personnel in a special district setting, comparable to the municipal clerk certification. WAY TO GO! Board President Elizabeth Accomando was presented the Certified Board Official Certification (CDO). Board Supervisor Betty Argue was reelected to the Executive Board of FASD, representing the voice of the District amongst other Special Districts. This is her second term on the Executive Board. She has also served on the legislative affairs committee, and is currently serving on membership and technology committee, and is chairing the policy and procedures committee. No small endeavor, but she approaches is with her usual enthusiasm and “get – it – done- attitude.”
