If you need a fresh set of slide decks, these are worth learning the Figma interface, if you haven’t already!
Today was a career highlight. It is an absolute privilege to introduce Figma Slides, Figma's newest product, to the world 💥 We launched Figma Slides this morning at Config, Figma's annual conference, after a year’s long effort to reimagine presentations and visual storytelling. Debuting this labor of love to thousands of designers during our opening keynote was a true pinch-me moment. I first pitched what we internally dubbed 'Flides' as an internal hackathon project in Fall 2022. What started as a scrappy prototype is now a tool that channels the power of Figma in a form that helps you tell your stories. Built for both professional designers and their collaborators in product, marketing, research, and beyond, Figma Slides enables anyone to craft a powerful story. Figma Slides is free to use while in beta! Try it out today 🎉 Thank you to the absolute dream team behind this product - it is an honor to work with you ❤️ Keeyen Y. A big thank you to Una Thacker for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the Serve IT team, which greatly enriched my practical experience in client interactions and honed my skills in web design and data analysis. I'm also grateful to Sarah Hall for her supportive guidance through the Master's program application process and for patiently addressing all my questions and concerns. A heartfelt thank you to my family and all the people who have been with me every step of the way. Your encouragement and belief in me have been pivotal! The journey doesn't end here! I am eager to begin my Master's program at Kelley School of Business MS in Information Systems (MSIS) this fall. I'm thrilled to announce that I have been selected as a Serve AI intern at Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. This opportunity was made possible by the Public Interest Technology University Network Challenge grant awarded to the Serve AI project, which is led by Community Engaged Learning Director Una Thacker and Informatics Associate Professor Nathan Ensmenger. During my internship, I will be honing my skills in Generative AI while developing innovative technologies to support the Laurie Burns McRobbie Serve IT Clinic, Luddy School, Indiana University program. This program connects Indiana University Bloomington students with local organizations to provide technology solutions and services. I am thrilled to be working on projects at the intersection of AI and public interest technology, with the aim of making a positive impact on society. I am looking forward to collaborating with a talented team and contributing to this meaningful initiative. #ServeAI #PublicInterestTechnology #LuddySchool #IndianaUniversity #SummerInternship

Another fantastic set of Luddy projects highlighted recently! Serve IT on the left and Bryce Himebaugh on the right. Luddy really is a fun and engaging place to learn.
Incredible work being done at the Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering to advance community-identified projects in rural Indiana! Luddy has been a valuable partner in the work of the Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement and Sustaining Hoosier Communities. First picture: Student team from the Laurie Burns McRobbie Serve IT Clinic, Luddy School, Indiana University who shored up the visualization of CRE's rural partner projects. Una Thacker made this partnership happen! Second picture: Luddy capstone students under the direction of Bryce Himebaugh and in partnership with the Heart of Jasper and the Dubois County Community Foundation created music sensors that will be installed in the Piano Alley mural project in downtown Jasper (just like in the classic movie "Big" 🎹).

Wrapping up an impactful semester as an Accessibility Intern with the Laurie Burns McRobbie Serve IT Clinic, Luddy School, Indiana University at Indiana University Bloomington. Collaborated with the City of Bloomington, IN to enhance website accessibility for all residents, particularly those with disabilities. Gained valuable insights into user-centered design and strengthened my commitment to digital inclusivity. Grateful for the guidance from industry leaders like Una Thacker and the knowledge shared by Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. Special thanks to my fellow interns Liam Quinn, Clayton Furnish and Adam Poellabauer for their collaboration and dedication. Excited to apply these learnings and continue creating accessible web experiences for all. #WebAccessibility #InclusiveDesign #ServeIT #Bloomington
