A new training kit is now available from Inert Products. This kit is based on modified ordnance in an IED / booby trap configuration discovered in Ukraine. The non-conventional use of ordnance like the mortars and mine seen here are becoming increasingly common. Awareness and recognition are critical to maintaining safety. A TM-62M anti-tank mine with PVV high explosive in the fuze well, along with half a 200g TNT block, is connected to three HE 120mm mortar shells by detonating cord. On May 14th, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce honored 64 companies and organizations from across the country with the President’s “E” and “E Star” Awards recognizing their contributions to increasing U.S. exports. Inert Products representatives Dean Klipple, Steven Miick, and Richard Carrick were in attendance to receive the company's first "E" Award for export achievement. Created in 1961 by Executive Order of the President, the President’s “E” Award is the highest recognition a U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports. U.S. companies that have successfully grown their exports in overseas markets, along with companies or organizations that have facilitated the exports of others, are nominated by the International Trade Administration’s (ITA) U.S. Commercial Service, within the U.S. Department of Commerce. “Trade impacts the lives of every American worker, business and community,” said U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. “I am proud to recognize this year’s President’s “E” and “E Star” award recipients for their efforts and contributions to increase economic prosperity across our country and further position the U.S. private sector as the partner of choice in markets around the globe."

On 8 December 2005, the General Assembly declared that 4 April of each year shall be observed as the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. It called for continued efforts by States, with the assistance of the United Nations and relevant organizations, to foster the establishment and development of national mine-action capacities in countries where mines and explosive remnants of war constitute a serious threat to the safety, health and lives of the civilian population, or an impediment to social and economic development at the national and local levels.
