In late 2025, the American College of Radiology Lung Cancer Screening Registry (LCSR) will expand into the Early Lung Cancer Detection Registry, adding critical performance feedback on actionable incidental pulmonary nodules (IPNs). This initiative aims to help reduce lost follow-up, identify lung cancers earlier, and save more lives. According to Ben Wandtke, MD, MS, “The new Lung Cancer Screening Registry module can help facilities track performance of IPN recommendation appropriateness and completion of follow up performance over time...opening a second front to detect and treat lung cancer." We share Daisha Marsh's dedication to bridging the gap between technology and real-world healthcare needs. We’re honored to partner with the American College of Radiology Learning Network and the ImPower Program teams as they learn how to optimize data, strengthen teamwork, and drive meaningful quality improvements in imaging. By collaborating and genuinely understanding each institution’s unique data landscape, we strive to deliver solutions that go beyond promises to provide real patient and provider value. AI and advanced analytics can transform radiology, but only if paired with implementation that respects complexity and prioritizes patient outcomes. This team is leading the way, and we look forward to building a future where every patient receives the healthcare they deserve. Let’s keep raising the bar together!
The Learning Network's American College of Radiology kicks off its 5 cohort this week. I wanted to share a quote/photo from #ImpactPlayers. As a former manager, I was unimpressed with how SaaS companies handled their implementations and how it impacted our imaging team and our patients, when the software wasn't working as it was sold/marketed to us. However, something that gets missed by many is the amount of data, the complexity of imaging and how different each institution is. I have the honor of Peer-Coaching 4 teams through the ImPower Program this spring. These teams have the unique opportunity to collaborate with Inflo Health to ensure that the program they bought is working as it was sold to them. During the next 6 months they will be learning how to do Quality Improvement, team building, and among MANY other things, understand their data. AI is our future but we need more companies to like Inflo Health to help us succeed. Let's start talking, and get the patients the healthcare they deserve. Healthcare should never be a luxury. Yet according to a 2024 PwC survey, featured in AI in Healthcare by Dave Pearson, nearly half of individuals with serious health issues have put off care because of financial concerns. That’s where the transformative potential of AI and advanced machine learning comes in. At Inflo Health, we leverage AI to make radiology follow-up care more accessible and effective. When critical imaging follow-ups are missed, patients risk disease progression and costly interventions down the road. PwC’s latest commentary highlights five ways AI can help address these cost and care challenges—insights that apply directly to our radiology-focused solutions: ➡️ Preventive Care – AI-powered analytics can identify which patients are most at risk of missing follow-up scans, ensuring early interventions and timely care before minor issues become major crises. ➡️ Personalized Care – By analyzing each patient’s history and data, AI helps radiologists and care teams action custom follow-up care coordination and scheduling tailored to individual needs. ➡️ Predictive Care – AI can identify overlooked factors (e.g., demographic, lifestyle, social determinants) to better predict which patients might face barriers to accessing radiology services—and help clinicians intervene proactively. ➡️ Proactive Care: Clinicians and care coordinators can use digital tools to track radiology appointments, ensure patients understand the next steps, and minimize the risk of lost results or delayed diagnoses. These advances align with Inflo Health’s mission to ensure that patients never miss a follow-up, closing critical loops that can otherwise lead to avoidable hardships, unnecessary costs, and poor outcomes. We had an incredible time at #StanfordRadISummit25, where the brightest minds in radiology came together for a dynamic exchange of ideas. It was an honor to be in the same room with so many visionary leaders in radiology innovation and healthcare. One of the summit’s highlights was showcasing the outstanding work at East Alabama Health. In a fascinating new piece by Richard Pallardy in InformationWeek on how AI is revolutionizing medical monitoring and patient follow-up, one standout voice is our own Angela Adams, RN, BSN, AALNC, who underscores the importance of blending technology with real-world clinical needs. “We didn't just focus on the math and the AI problem. We focused on taking that information that we identified and making sure that it worked within the clinical workflow.” Her perspective reminds us that true innovation isn’t just about algorithms and data—it's about creating solutions that fit seamlessly into the healthcare ecosystem.
