Towards supporting the underprivileged, creating opportunities, and striving towards a more equitable society.

About us

Since 1996, Infosys Foundation has been trying to make communities and individuals stand on their feet. From helping communities affected by natural disasters, constructing toilets and building libraries for village schools, providing succor to Devadasi women, to donating funds for cancer treatment, scientific research and mid-day meals – if there is a worthy cause in sight, the Foundation is always there to support it. We take great pride in working with all sections of society, selecting projects with infinite care, and working in areas that traditionally overlooked by society at large. With a focus on the most remote regions of India, our initiatives span the areas of education, rural development, healthcare, arts and culture, and destitute care.

#InfosysFoundation partnered with the Society for Advancement of Human Endeavor (SAHE) to #restore a 300-year-old stepwell in Telangana's Lingampet village. The stepwell, called Naganna Baavi, is a unique #architecturalmarvel that was once a flourishing tourist sight. However, it has fallen into disrepair in recent years and is now home to cobwebs, dry leaves, and overgrown trees. The Foundation and SAHE is working to restore the stepwell to its former glory. The vegetation and trees that have weakened the structure will be removed, the silt and waste that have blocked the aquifers will be cleaned, and the masonry repaired. We have always believed in bringing about #sustainable changes in society to ensure the impact lasts for posterity, while also preserving the natural gifts of our rich environment. With SAHE as partners, we are confident that we can restore Naganna Baavi to its former beauty. Infosys | #CSR | #Conservation

Nourishment, life skills, and employability skills are the building blocks that shape young minds into confident and healthy adults. However, not all children are privy to these necessities. Recognizing this, #InfosysFoundation has been steadfast in its commitment to holistic child development, especially for those from underprivileged backgrounds. In order to implement the Foundation's goal, Anubhuti, our CSR group from Indore, collaborated with the Nitya Seva Society (NSS) in Bhopal to improve the well-being of 201 children, aged between 4 and 21. Most of whom reside in the NSS children’s homes. Our volunteers provided essential items like food, clothing, and toiletries. Knowing that education can unlock the children's potential, our volunteers equipped these young minds with life skills and vocational training. They didn't stop there. Aware that the transition from education to employment is daunting, they mentored these young minds, for the first three months of their professional journey. Our volunteers believe in the Foundation's vision that all children have the right to equal opportunity and high-quality education. Their volunteering work is an attempt to ensure that all children have the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background. #InfosysCSR | #education | #CommunitySupport

Sarod Ghar, a museum in Gwalior, aims to uphold the rich tradition of Hindustani #classicalmusic, providing a space for researchers and an engaging experience for tourists. #InfosysFoundation is pleased to have supported this endeavor, contributing to the seamless blend of tradition and modernity. Established in 1996, Sarod Ghar has been showcasing traditional art within the homes of illustrious exponents. The idea for this museum originated during Ustad Amjad Ali Khan's visit to Beethoven's birthplace in Bonn, Germany. Infosys Foundation supports the arts, preserving legacies, and revitalizing endangered forms. Learning of Sarod Ghar's initiative to enhance interaction, we helped bring classical music closer to enthusiasts. With our support, the museum also undergoes essential repairs, renovations, and maintenance, aiming to reintegrate classical music into mainstream Indian life. Such advanced display technologies promise a unique and enriching visitor experience. Infosys | #ArtandCulture | #CulturalHeritage

Imagine a world where education feels out of reach. This was the reality for many girls in Jaisalmer. Finances held them back, dimming the light of their dreams. At #InfosysFoundation, we believe every girl deserves a chance to shine. Partnering with CITTA, we launched a program at Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls School in 2023. For us, the goal was clear. Education shouldn’t just be about access; it must also ignite a passion for learning. Now, classrooms are filled with stories of inspiring women and global wonders. Projectors open windows to new worlds, while our "Khud Ki Khoj" (self-discovery) workshops empower them to discover their potential. The impact is clear: parents see their daughters thriving, limitations replaced by dreams taking root. This isn't just education; it's empowering future leaders, innovators, and changemakers. #InfosysCSR | #education | #womenempowerment

Imagine a life where every drop of water is a battle hard-won. This was the reality for countless women in Andhra Pradesh's Sitharama Raju district, home to over 3,500 villages. The Eastern Ghats, while majestic, also faced maintenance issues posed a barrier to clean drinking water. Women bore the brunt, walking miles to fetch water, often contaminated, jeopardizing their health, and hindering their lives. #InfosysFoundation saw this struggle. Partnering with Visakha Jilla Nava Nirmana Samithi (VJNNS), we embarked on a mission to transform this. The answer? An ingenious solution - the Gravity-Fed Water Supply System (GFWSS). GFWSS is a beacon of hope. No longer reliant on distant, polluted sources, it harnesses the power of innovation. A perennial spring becomes the heart, protected by a "spring box" from human and animal interference. Water is obtained from the spring which flows through a pipeline to a filtration chamber, ensuring every drop is safe to drink. This project, launched in June 2022, shattered initial targets. With our support, not 150, but a staggering 332 GFWSS were built! The impact? Over 1,55,000 lives, directly and indirectly touched. Women, relieved of their backbreaking burden, could pursue education, livelihoods, and better health for their families. The success story doesn't end there. Inspired by the project's impact, we also pledged to build 100 more systems. Our project is also championing awareness and influencing government departments to embrace this life-changing technology. Every drop of clean water is a step towards a brighter future, and we will continue to work hard to empower women, uplift communities, and protect our environment, all through the power of technology and a deep understanding of human needs. #InfosysCSR | #womenempowerment | #sustainability | #water

#InfosysFoundation is at the forefront when it comes to ensuring that the underserved sections of society have access to world-class education. The Foundation, since its genesis, has worked towards making education affordable and accessible to all. However, there are multiple challenges, when it comes to making this ambition a reality. One way this has been made possible, is by the power of our people. Infoscions from across our offices coalesce to supporting people and communities. An example of this is how our Hyderabad CSR group, Mamata Trust, is helping make education more accessible, especially for underprivileged women. Working with Mahila Dakshata Samithi Education Institutions to introduce the ‘Infosys Trust-Mahila Dakshati Education Sponsorship’ project, Mamata Trust has taken up the responsibility to sponsor all academic expenses of students for an entire year. Through this project, 25 Bachelor of Science nursing students will be sponsored for 4 years and 13 more for their final year. Working in tandem with the Foundation, our CSR groups are always determined to provide education for marginalized communities. The Foundation is thankful and proud to partner with our volunteer groups in helping amplifying potential and creating opportunities for people and communities. #InfosysCSR I #education I #nursing I #scholarship
