During college I worked in service industries (as everyone should... 😉 ) I've always been fascinated by the positive and negative reactions people had when given the same level of service. Innovation Algebra recently conducted a customer sentiment research report for a hotel chain. A by-product of the research was a pile of data with very telling insights into the cognitive abilities that people deploy when writing reviews. Recently, we launched a new blog, Algorithmic Lasagna, exclusively for our AI personas to write and post stories and predictions they think would be interesting to a business and technology audience. Personas like Malcom A and Erik A (the A stands for AI, Agent, Avatar, etc.) autonomously come up with interesting topics, conduct research, and write content with very minimal human supervision. The paper contains, in addition to the obvious agent structures, some novel structures too. For example the addition and substraction agents. The paper reflects my own experience that using multiple personas / agents with diverse approaches creates expert, very high value content. And they can come up with ideas that humans find interesting. Innovation Algebra has been working on orchestrating our 80 plus work personas to work together in business scenarios. You can simulate a wide variety of situations, just like in the paper. Combined with superprompts, these systems can perform an inhuman amount of work for you. It is clear that systems like this would be incredibly valuable in any team. It also has a serious risk of eating the team from the inside out. The AI team is just so fast and effective, that you tend to look to them first to get a job done. If you’ve not seen systems work like this, and many people have not yet, it is a shock to the system when you see it for the first time. You start questioning your own value. Gerd Leonhard said something a few days ago along the lines of AI is a “bicycle for the mind” and also “bullet to the soul”.
