This month we celebrate International Youth Day! This day is designated to bring attention to the issues youth face globally. At IPI, this resonates with our vision for a future without child soldiery, which we currently work toward through our program, Thierry's Project. Through the continued support of our donors who share the same vision, we have helped over 130+ young people reintegrate into their communities and gifted them goats as part of this effort. Why goats? Check out Thierry's Project to find out why and how you can get involved. Happy International Youth Day! https://lnkd.in/ePh_hiAs

Accompanying peace in war-torn communities.
About us
Innovations in Peacebuilding International (IPI) accompanies and invests in locally-led peace in war-afflicted countries through partnerships, education, networking, and research. IPI was founded in 2009 by Dr. Charles Davidson with the mission to affect sustainable change in war-affected areas. Since its inception, IPI has grown from a one-person operation with help from volunteers to a global community, having affected change in 5 war-impacted countries. Currently there are four active programs through which IPI accomplishes its work with the support of key partners including George Mason University, AJDC, Kingdom Missions Fund, and others. Our vision: A world where conflict is solved through nonviolent means, where children soldiery is a distant and outlawed practice of the past, where war-affected areas have since developed into sustainable, prospering, and safe communities experiencing positive peace.

Innovations in Peacebuilding International reposted this
IPI is excited to share our first report, a practitioner-friendly resource for organizations in the peacebuilding sector that are building partnerships with local organizations. This report builds on a primary pillar of IPI’s work, which is accompanying local peacebuilders in their work to ensure peacebuilding strategies are embedded in local culture and will be sustainable after IPI concludes a formal partnership. Through our on the ground experiences, we’ve developed and iterated on a methodology to determine who to partner with, as well as what projects to undertake. That methodology is detailed in the report. Charles and Remy have learned a lot about what characteristics to look for which flag that the partnership will be successful, breaking down these characteristics into green, yellow, and red flags. We are grateful to share this milestone, the first of many resources to build the sector. Find the report at the link below. https://lnkd.in/eAUfX-gC

We are so excited to welcome Nuria to the IPI team!
Master of Science (M.S.) Student in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, Carter School at George Mason University. Master of Arts (M.A.) Student in Conflict Resolution and Mediterranean Security at the University of Malta.
I am thrilled to share a significant milestone in my academic and professional journey – I have recently joined Innovations in Peacebuilding International (IPI) as a part-time Research Assistant! Balancing this role alongside my pursuit of a dual Master’s degree has been an enriching experience, and I'm excited to contribute my research skills and passion to the impactful work that IPI does in the realm of peacebuilding. In addition to my role as a research assistant, I am honored to serve on the Executive Committee of the Young Women's Peacebuilding Fellowship (YWPF), where we are currently in the exciting phase of designing the fellowship program. I want to express my gratitude to the incredible team at IPI for welcoming me into their community of inspiring and dedicated professionals.

Currently, we are looking for a Social Media Volunteer to work with our Communications Team on designing social media posts and report designs. This is a volunteer position, so we are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about design and peacebuilding who will use this opportunity to grow their portfolio and build experience.
