🚧✨ Installing a sign on a mansard roof? A mansard roof is a type of roof that slopes, making it more challenging for sign installations. Here’s what to keep in mind when installing a business sign on a sloped roof: Access: Steep pitches make access tricky. Installation crews must use stable scaffolding or lifts for safety. Special Brackets: Custom brackets are needed to match the roof pitch for secure installation. Mounting: Mounting the sign is specific to the pitch and electrical access of each roof. Here, we mounted the channel letters to a raceway and then attached the raceway to the brackets. Electrical: For this sign, we ran the power through the roof to the sign. Permits & Regulations: Don’t skip the paperwork. Check local regulations and secure all permits before starting. (That’s also why you want to go with an experienced company.) This Allstate sign uses channel letters that have a printed blue 60/40 perforated vinyl. This makes the text blue during the day and illuminates white at night! No job is too tricky for Innovative Signs.
