Centering human interaction in extended reality (XR) to build a more diverse, equitable and inclusive global ecosystem.

About us

Where XR meets DEI. We see both the short term and long term benefits of centering diversity, equity and inclusion, and we think the road to both human happiness and successful business ventures lies in focusing on people and their connections. We also believe that technology, when used as a tool to accomplish those goals, can elevate humanity instead of distracting and dividing us. Our teams and organizations have both the expertise and the commitment to these principles needed to build a next evolution in human connection, equity, success and happiness. aMazeXR, VorteXR and belong·xr are subsidiary projects of inPath XR and focus on different areas of the global ecosystem. Our teams are based in San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago. We offer on-site services in those metro areas and virtual services globally. Please see our website for more details!

📢 Liminal XR ---> inPath XR Hi Liminal XR followers, family and friends, Going forward, our new name is inPath XR! 💫 Here are the details: While we love our previous name, Liminal XR, and all of the meaning that came with it, we identified a conflict and have had to rename and rebrand. It's challenging finding a name and an unfortunately common reality for new startups, but we've embraced it as part of our liminality. 😉 How was inPath XR selected? As a team, we collectively aimed to capture the core elements of transition and journey along with inclusion and accessibility, and inPath XR was all of that. Additionally, inPath XR comes with a play-on-words with empath, which is a core component of everything we do.We think it's a great new moniker! Let us know what you think in the comments below. You can now find us at inPathXR.com, and our previous website will redirect there. Thanks for being part of this journey, we appreciate you.

A Day of Thanks and Grief: Navigating Thanksgiving with Awareness As we approach Thanksgiving, a day in the United States traditionally associated with gratitude, it's crucial to acknowledge the complexities and historical context of this holiday. At Liminal, we recognize that living on colonized lands adds layers of complexity to each holiday, and Thanksgiving is no exception with its own intricate history. In our journey to embody the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), we are not only committed to facilitating DEI experiences but also to practicing what we preach. This Thanksgiving, we've created a special virtual reality world that mirrors our learnings and reflections about the holiday. Our Thanksgiving world, “Amendsgiving,” in Horizon Worlds, is designed to share insights and contemplations that we, as a team, are engaging with. It’s a space where history, gratitude, and acknowledgment of past and ongoing injustices intersect. We invite you to join us in this immersive experience – Consider bringing your headset with you if you're visiting family or friends so you can step into a world of reflection and understanding with us after dinner. This holiday, please take a moment to meditate on the origins of Thanksgiving, the narratives we’ve been told, and the narratives that often go unheard. Join us in our virtual world as we explore a path of gratitude intertwined with the recognition of grief and history. Looking forward to sharing this unique experience with you. We are offering two world hops on Thursday, November 23 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET and again at 8pm PT / 11pm ET Please meet in Horizon Worlds and search for the world “Amendsgiving”. If you are unable to make the scheduled World Hops, all are welcome to experience the world at any time. In closing, we’d like to offer this quote, which can be found in this 2018 Time article (https://lnkd.in/g8ZTfM79) "No matter where you are in North America, you are on indigenous land. And so on this holiday, and any day really, I urge people to explore a deeper connection to what are called “American” foods by understanding true Native-American histories, and begin using what grows naturally around us, and to support Native-American growers. There is no need to make Thanksgiving about a false past. It is so much better when it celebrates the beauty of the present. ~ Sean Sherman, Founder and CEO of The Sioux Chef and author of The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen" #DayOfThanksAndGrief #Thanksgiving #DEI #VirtualReality * Please note, due to copyright concerns with another entity, Liminal VR, we are in the process of renaming our company. The new name will be announced soon.

CEO - Mynd Immersive | Spatial Therapeutics | Impact Investor | Emmy-nominated Producer | Internet Architect

Thank you Stanford University, AT&T, HTC VIVE and MyndVR (Now Mynd Immersive). I'm beyond excited to announce the completion of the largest study ever done in VR and aging with Dr. Jeremy Bailenson. Under the leadership of Ted Werth, Mynd continues to lead the world in conducting spatial computing (VR/XR) research as a tool to treat isolation, anxiety, depression, pain, and a variety of cognitive and physical disorders with the exploding population of older adults. In 9 years, the US will have more citizens 65+ than under 18. Our healthcare system is simply not ready. But today, we turn our attention to caregivers, an often overlooked and highly difficult function in the care of our elders. An overwhelming 97% of the caregiving staff and 93% of the residents reported that using Mynd was beneficial to their relationship with each other. A happy caregiver is a happy senior!!

Creative Director | EY Metaverse Lab

Honored to have helped out on such a fun project- EY had the Latinx Metaverse Cultural Experience launch during their Hispanic Heritage Month event last month in NYC. The concept was imagined by Veronica Garza, and in her words, was "Important to honor different cultures, their unique identities, histories, and specific needs – and having this platform will help us think differently and build a standard for inclusiveness. The environment steps away from stereotypes and unconscious bias by creating a familiar and welcoming atmosphere that celebrates contemporary Latinx art and architecture, history, and traditions." Launched in VR on the Quest Pro, the team created everything based off of Veronica's insight, experience, and research and the outcome is an explorable cultural melting pot that can help everyone better understand the Latinx experience. It was terrific working with Veronica and special thanks to Joseph Bradascio, Danielle McPhatter, and Domhnaill Hernon for all of the hard work and support. #hispanicheritagemonth #latinx
