✨ Highlights from Disco 2024: Maze’s Global Research and Discovery Conference! ✨ Alison Simone, MFA, Director of UX Strategy, and Meghan Lewis, UX Strategist, had the opportunity to attend and immerse themselves in innovative insights at Disco 2024. Here are a couple of their takeaways: 1. ⚒️ Building better partnerships starts with deeper insights into the people behind the project. A key takeaway from Amanda Gelb (formerly of Asana, Lyft, and Google) was the importance of understanding stakeholder personalities to build trust and foster strong, collaborative partnerships. Amanda broke down five of the most challenging stakeholder archetypes that can derail projects—and provided practical strategies for successfully navigating each one. 2. 🖼️ Frameworks can operationalize design, research, and content strategy. Ellis Yu (Design Operations Lead at Plaid) introduced her “How We Work” framework, a powerful approach to operationalizing design, research, and content strategy.
