The Expanding Talent through Registered Apprenticeship (ExTRA) program has supported the launch of Virginia's first Registered Apprenticeship programs for both EMTs and paramedics. Through ExTRA, IALR supported the creation of 12 new apprenticeship programs and the hiring of 50 new apprentices across 2024. The ExTRA initiative is just one way IALR is expanding career pathways and opportunities for Virginians.
