As Tesla’s stock falls and its CEO becomes more involved in global politics, the Danish AkademikerPension plans to sell off its small stake in the EV company. Pension CEO Jens Munch Holst said that Elon Musk “stepping into American and European politics” and “spreading misinformation” created “considerable risks to returns,” making it “hard to stay invested” in Tesla. Meanwhile in the U.S., as pension stakeholders urge divestment, allocators see the move as largely symbolic and ineffective.
