Integrity House was voted a top addiction treatment provider in America and one of the top 10 providers in New Jersey! This recognition is a testament to our staff's dedication to providing high quality care and services. Founded in 1968, Integrity House is one of the largest not-for-profit providers of substance use disorder treatment and mental health services licensed in the state of New Jersey. Since 2020, Newsweek has partnered with data intelligence platform Statista to identify leading addiction treatment facilities across the US. Each center is assessed across three criteria: accreditation data provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), reputation surveys from medical professionals and administrators in the field, and Google reviews, which serves to measure the client experience. Last week, Integrity House Chief Clinical Officer Eman Gibson, MBA, LCSW, LCADC 🇵🇸, served as a panelist for NJ FamilyCare Behavioral Health Integration Provider Readiness Forum: Achieving Success with Managed Care. Other panelists included Lisa Centeno, Senior Vice President of Addiction Services at Care Plus NJ and Vera Sansone, President & CEO at CPC Integrated Health. The panel was held by the Department of Human Services (DHS) ahead of the upcoming Managed Care Organization (MCO) transition. To promote whole-person care, the delivery of physical and behavioral health services under New Jersey’s Medicaid program (i.e., NJ FamilyCare) will soon be managed by the state’s five MCOs. The forum offered providers insight and advice about what it takes to be successful operating under managed care and an opportunity to ask experienced providers like Integrity House "what they wish they knew” about managed care.

Today, the American Society of Addiction Medicine - ASAM released new guidance for the engagement and retention of nonabstinent individuals in care. Chief Clinical Officer Eman Gibson, MBA, LCSW, LCADC served on the ASAM Expert Committee for this publication and contributed heavily to its development. “In 2022, 85% of patients with SUDs went untreated, driven in part by abstinence requirements that may dissuade individuals from initiating care or result in their premature discharge from a program.” The guide provides SUD treatment programs and providers with guidance and support to: 1) address the complexities of patient nonabstinence during treatment; 2) reduce administrative discharges; and 3) implement strategies focused on lowering barriers to care to improve engagement and retention of nonabstinent patients in the continuum of care. Although aimed at SUD providers, the document emphasizes the essential role of harm reduction in sustained client engagement. #Depression affects over 21 million Americans; however only about a third (35%) of those experiencing severe depression seek treatment from a mental health professional. Depression is known to be a contributing factor in substance use disorders, physical health conditions, and is closely linked with #suicide ideation. The stigma surrounding mental health prevents many people from seeking help. This Depression Awareness and Screening Month, join Integrity House in destigmatizing depression and encouraging loved ones with depression to seek help.
October is Depression Awareness and Screening Month

In an opinion piece for NJ.com, Integrity House President and CEO Robert Budsock celebrates the progress made in addressing New Jersey’s opioid epidemic but emphasizes the need to continue our momentum. “While this offers hope, it is not a time to declare victory but rather to double down on the comprehensive, evidence-based strategies that are saving lives.” Read on to learn more about the approaches that have helped reduce the number of opioid-related overdoses in the state: https://lnkd.in/eyU8DTs8
