We’re excited to present six research papers at the European Conference on Computer Vision 2024. The works include a novel defense approach designed to protect text-to-image models from prompt-based red teaming attacks, a new spatially-focused large-scale dataset that improves spatial consistency in T2I models, and an approach to derive ground-truth radiance fields from textured meshes for 3D generation tasks. In addition, Intel Labs and university collaborators co-organized a tutorial on how to Responsibly Build Generative Models. At this year’s IEEE High Performance Extreme Computing Virtual Conference, we received the Outstanding Paper Award for MONOCODER, an HPC-specific language model. MONOCODER understands HPC code better than state-of-the-art LLMs to deliver greater performance across both non-HPC and HPC codes. Read the blog to learn more about the award-winning paper and the four other Intel papers submitted and accepted during the event. https://intel.ly/3N0dWYQ #Research #LLMs #HighPerformanceComputing

The U.S. National Science Foundation, in collaboration with Ericsson , Intel Corporation, Micron Technology, and Samsung Semiconductor, has awarded $42.4 million through its Future of Semiconductors (NSF FuSe2) competition. This investment will drive groundbreaking research in artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, advanced computing, and semiconductor technologies. By overcoming existing limitations in semiconductor design and fabrication, these awards aim to bolster U.S. leadership in technology innovation while addressing energy efficiency, performance, and supply chain challenges. "Innovation in semiconductor research is crucial to the future of our global competitiveness in modern electronics, computing and supply chains," said NSF Director Sethuraman Panchanathan. "These investments are not only supporting the future of semiconductors as a driver of our economy but also our national security. As such, we must ensure that we harness the full potential of emerging technologies and develop a skilled workforce ready to unleash new opportunities and tackle global grand challenges." These projects will develop next-generation materials and devices, revolutionizing semiconductor functions such as wearable health devices and large-scale data centers. They also include comprehensive education programs to broaden participation in STEM fields, fostering a diverse and skilled workforce. https://bit.ly/3BfgdfT

Learn more about Multimodal RAG from our very own Vasudev Lal in the latest DeepLearning.AI course. Andrew Ng explains more about what to expect in the video below. #DeepLearning #LVLM #RAG
We're excited to introduce Multimodal RAG: Chat with Videos, a course created in collaboration with Intel Corporation, and taught by Vasudev Lal, Principal AI Research Scientist at Intel Labs. Build a system that answers grounded responses from video content! In this course, you'll create an interactive chat system using the BridgeTower model, a multimodal transformer developed by Intel and Microsoft Research. In detail: 🔄 Generate joint embeddings from video content and store them in a vector database. 🧩 Build a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline to fetch relevant video data. 💬 Use Large Vision-Language Models (LVLMs) to answer questions using both text and image inputs. In this course, you will make API calls to access multimodal models hosted by Prediction Guard on Intel’s cloud. By the end, you'll have the expertise to build systems that can intelligently interact with video content. Enroll for free: https://hubs.la/Q02PvM8Z0
