Addiction treatment is an individualized approach in attending to the needs of the patient from a cultural and biological standpoint. Women have unique needs based not only on biology but also environmental and sociological factors. Intensive Treatment Systems (ITS) partners with many organizations to ensure that Women are provided the resources and support services they need to be successful in treatment. We have peer support staff who have lived experience in substance use disorder who can help women navigate the systems to access treatment options which will aid in their success. Pregnant women are given priority in getting the treatment necessary to cope with being in active addiction. Reducing the risk to mom and baby in treatment means coordinating care with medical providers, mental health providers, case managers, counselors and family members. #itsofaz #savinglives #pregnancyandsubstanceusedisorder #mattreatment #womenshealth #addictiontreatment #integratedcare #evidencebased #individualizedtreatment #recoverycommunity #ptsd #domesticviolence #substanceusedisorder
