IISC builds collaborative capacity in individuals, organizations, & networks working for social justice & racial equity.
About us
People all over the world are trying to work together in more collaborative ways in order to change things for the better – within their organizations, within their communities, and beyond. IISC builds the capacity of people to collaborate for greater social impact by modeling, practicing, and teaching the skills and tools of collaboration. In all of our work, we view collaboration through these three lenses: • Building power, pursuing equity, ensuring inclusion • Leveraging networks for social change • Harnessing love as a force for social transformation IISC provides consulting services to organizations, communities, networks, and others that build their capacity for more effective, equitable and inclusive social change. And we offer workshops that provide participants with the opportunity to learn and practice the skills and tools of collaboration for social change so that they can do everything from designing meetings to building and running organizations and networks with greater social impact. Our work demonstrates the power of bringing together key stakeholders at all levels of a system or issue, including those most impacted, to create a shared vision and strategies for concerted action to achieve that vision. And we are particularly committed to building the leadership and collaborative capacity of grassroots leaders to engage, speak out, and participate fully in determining the policies and decisions that affect their lives and their communities.

Join us for the third in a series of explorations about moving from trauma to transformation!
“Finding ways to connect in a disconnected world has become more difficult and small conflicts turn too quickly into major issues. Managing people, processes, and crises in an organization is hard enough, and now we find ourselves needing new ways to move from conflict into a space of connection and opportunity. I think a lot about how we can grow sustainable organizations rooted in love and joy, with a commitment to liberation. I look forward to exploring with you some practices and strategies that bring us closer to connection and toward collaboration over isolation.” 🌱 Read more of the facilitators' reflections for the session and don't forget to join us on October 29: https://lnkd.in/e3k2qcuf
