In our Lawline CLE, we offered these tips to help #womenlawyers maximize your inner circle: 1. Seek out people who are not “like you.” 2. Avoid an insular circle. Too much similarity --> security, sure ... and, fewer new opportunities. Participate in friend circles and industry groups, yes, but intentionally complement them with connections who bring a different lived experience from your own. 3. Avoid giving your time and attention to these types of people (according to Forbes): 🚫 Those who are unsupportive of your goals. 🚫 Those who are not as growth-oriented as you. 🚫 Those who are threatened by you.
